“Know Your Worth
You must find courage to leave the table
If respect is no longer being served.” — Tene Edwards
It has been a long journey, but I am finally at a stage in my life where I know my worth. This took years of gaining experience in my field, learning about myself, and loving myself. When we are younger, we often rely on others to judge us and tell us what we are worth. We mirror their behaviors and take to heart any criticisms they may have of us, perhaps even changing major parts of ourselves in order to fit their version of what is acceptable.
You grow and you encounter hardships and victories, your morals and values are tested. As time goes on, you’ll learn more and more about yourself and hopefully with that wisdom comes loving yourself enough to know when to walk away when you are not being valued.
